Monday to Friday (18th to 22nd July)

Silent days

Silent days are a way for us to become more still and more stable.

In stillness we can learn to work with physical and emotional pain.

We can learn to turn towards our difficulties; we can learn to flourish and enjoy our lives.

You have three options:

  • Saturday through to Tuesday; or
  • Sunday through to Wednesday; or
  • Monday through to Friday.

The only thing we would ask is that you don’t come for a single day as we need to slide gradually into this deeper stillness - it is best for you and for those around you, that you take account of this when thinking about which days you will join us for.

Together we will set up the week so that you can gain the most from this experience. The intention is to spend the days in silence, to further explore meditation and its intuitive and imaginative dimension.  The thirty to forty-five minute sessions will be focused on a mixture of silent sitting/lying/standing meditation.

Each evening we will arrange a video, discussion or talk after dinner, you are encouraged to stay for these activities as they will give you more insight into our practice.

To start the sitting sessions will be gently and loosely led and gradually we will move to unled practices.

Below is a rough outline of how it works:
